Rose had grown tired of waiting for Plum and decided to ask a man who was
walking by. The man was towering three feet over her head, but she didn’t even
blink. “Excuse me, sir, but have you seen a human with brown hair and glasses?
He’s about your height and thin, sort of. He’d be with two dogs, one is a pug
the other is a yellow lab with a large scar. Have you seen him?”
The
man did not answer, and continued as if Lillie Rose was not even there. “How
rude!” was her first thought, but then she took a harder look at the man’s
face. She immediately noticed the dazed expression on his face. He was
drooling. His eyes were bright green and wide. The whites of his eyes were
hardly visible. Lillie Rose had come to a conclusion she would soon dread. This
man was hypnotized!
